Kuriya at Raffles City

Belyl had dinner with me at Kuriya, Raffles City about 2 weeks back.

Her Appertizer

Her Mushroom Noodles Soup – Kinoko Tamagotoji Soba – S$15.80++

Belyl added chilli powder to her soba. Guess it’s too plain?

My Honey Lemon drink

My dinner set – Soba Shokado – S$32.80++

Zooming in – cold soba with seaweed

chawanmushi with a piece of mushroom and chicken.

Shrimp, Egg, Seaweed, Cucumber, Tuna, Salmon and Rice with Wasabi and Ginger

Taking away the prawn head to see better

Mixed Tempura – Prawn, Mushroom and Lady Finger (I think… can’t remember)

Deep fried chicken

Zensai Mori – S$20.80++

Some kind of seasonal food art which is usually eaten as appertizer.

Zooming in – Toufu with Wasabi on top

Seaweed with sesame, Prawn, Egg Custard or Tamago

Prawn, Tamago, Japanese Chestnut (tastes really sweet!), Deep-fried soba and Japanese Gingko Nuts

Deep-fried Soba

Japanese Gingko Nuts

Vanilla Ice-cream and 2 water melon pieces that comes with the dinner set.

Total Damage

Overall, its food is fresh and presentation is good. Service is good as well.

But, I wouldn’t want to pay that much to eat that again. Would prefer Rakuichi to this.

  1. Oh, you knew Raikuichi from that Jap man.

The food looks so simple, yet tantalizing. The chawanmushi is kinda plain IMHO.

Miyabi Japanese Restaurant @ Raffles Town Club’s chawanmushi has Japanese fishcake, mushroom and spring onions

  2. i love the yakiniku at world trade centre’s kuriya=) looking at the photos on ur blog is making my mouth water… haha.

i enjoy looking at them.. very nicely taken!
