Use Plain English Please!

Someone came to me last evening in a fluster.

He wanted my inputs for his draft.

However, words poured out of his mouth like Merlion and I wasn’t sure what message he was trying to convey.

It was tiring reading the draft – I couldn’t see the point. It seems like a mental diarrhea.

No wonder our Big Boss ordered to place 2 copies of Complete Plain Words for every department. Ironically, Plain Words isn’t easy to read and nobody reads it anyway.

So, we tried to understand (*yawn*) and summarise the key points in each chapter and present using real examples in our department’s monthly meeting.

Read my motto – “Simplify Complexity!

Use plain english (and be straight to the point), please.
